About Me
My name is Jorel Gregg, and I am currently looking to pursue a career in Cybersecurity. I joined the Marine Corps right out of high school looking to prove myself in life. After 8 years in the Marine Corps infantry, I decided it was time to get out and was unsure what I wanted to do for a career. My father was a career pipefitter through Local 598, and I figured I would follow in his footsteps as I knew from him that they made good money and had good benefits. I made my way from apprentice to General Foreman in the span of ten years but now I have begun regretting my decision. I have always enjoyed playing around on computers from games to programming and I figured I would start looking at doing something I could be passionate about. As I started looking at careers, I realized that cybersecurity was aligning with everything I enjoy including constant puzzles, always changing and having to adapt, and of course working with computers and even more exciting learning some ethical hacking! I look forward to where this will take me in life and am very excited to get started.
